Finally there's a door closer mechanism designed for people with their arms full. This family friendly device is called the Touch'n Hold door closer, which sells for about $25. It's a button-operated device that you touch to hold the door open. Place it on the top, middle or bottom of a storm door, wherever it's convenient to touch with your hand or tap with your foot to unlatch the door and keep it open. Installing it at the bottom of the storm door makes it particularly handy if you're usually loaded down and your hands are full, but anywhere on the door where you can reach the button will work. You'll find the device sold at hardware stores and home centers and online.
