Step 1 : Read the installation instructions
Carefully read the directions that came with the delivery vault. The directions contain the roughing in dimensions for the unit.
Step 2 : Determine the location
Check with your local post office and courier services to ask about the correct placement and height of the delivery vault. A garage wall is often used because it's concealed from the public, but easy for a delivery service to access.
Step 3 : Frame the wall
Check that the wall where you want to install the vault is free of electrical, plumbing or other wiring. Measure the height and width of the wall-mounted unit and cut holes in the siding according to the placement directions to create a frame for the vault.
Step 4 : Fasten the vault into the frame
Using the fasteners provided or suggested, secure the vault in the frame, adding shims, when necessary. Check the installation for gaps that may require flashing or insulation to complete the job. If anchoring the vault to the floor so it sits on a flat solid surface, follow the instructions to secure it.
