Step 4 : Caulk the bottom track
Remove the bottom track which was temporarily installed. Then apply a bead of silicone caulk into the groove on the underside of the track and install it at the location you marked in Step 2.
Step 5 : Install the wall jambs
Place one of the wall jambs over the bottom track and align the holes in the wall jamb with the holes in the wall. Fasten it to the wall using the panhead screws with a bumper inserted over the screws at the top and bottom of the jamb. Then repeat the installation on the other jamb.
Step 6 : Install the top track
Measure the distance from wall to wall and cut the top track slightly smaller then the distance. Smooth any rough edges at the cut end with a file.
Step 7 : Install the door panel hardware
Place the rollers on the top frame flange of both door panels and secure them with lock washers and machine screws.
Step 8 : Position the door panels
In general this is how door panels are installed although every manufacturer has their own unique directions. Standing outside of the tub install the inside panel first by lifting it up inside the top track and hang the rollers on the inside rail of the top track. Then align the inside panel with the wall jamb. Lift the outside up inside the top track and hang the rollers on the outside rail of the top track.
Step 9 : Caulk the jamb joints
Apply a bead of caulk where the jambs and wall meet and where the bottom track and wall jamb are joined.
