  • Step 4 : Remove the duct knockouts

    Remove duct knockouts

    Use a screwdriver to unfasten the duct knockout panels from the top or back of the hood.

  • Step 5 : Prepare the damper/duct connector

     Prepare the damper/duct connector

    Remove tape from the damper flap and attach the connector over the knockout opening with the screws you removed earlier.

  • Step 6 : Connect the wiring

    Connect the wiring

    Protect the surface of the cooktop with heavy cardboard and set the range hood on top of it. Then connect the house wiring to the hood. Connect the house black wire to the hood black wire and the house white wire to the hood white wire. Then connect the house ground wire under the ground screw and tighten the cable clamp onto the house wiring.

  • Step 7 : Hang the hood

    Hang the stove hood

    Use the mounting screws to install the hood. Then slide the hood towards the wall until the mounting screws are engaged. Tighten the screws securely with a long handle screwdriver. Then replace the bottom cover.

  • Step 8 : Connect the ductwork to the hood

    Fasten the ductwork to the hood using duct tape to secure joints and make them airtight.

  • Step 9 : Finish the assembly

    Install the light bulbs and replace the filters and turn on the power at the service panel and check for proper operation.
